Founded in the exalted atmosphere of 1929, Maison Cherigan offers innovative creations, rich in this current of daring and chic that animates the capital. It perfumes those who have made Montparnasse and Montmartre their playground. Mixed with the singing rhythm of a trumpet, rises the laughter, all the thrill of a generation.
Francis Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald dance together until dawn to heady jazz. Joséphine Baker rushes with liberating fury down the luxurious avenue of the Champs-Élysées. At No. 120, breaths of tobacco, tonka bean and iris escape from a shop. On the front, golden letters outline the melodious name: Cherigan.
Mythical perfumes
The refined bottles of Fleurs de Tabac, Mascarades and Chance will soon welcome those of Bleu Impérial, Parisienne, Jupons, and La Habana Cuba . In this Caribbean city, place of wild parties, Cherigan will open its second brand.
The scents ignite on burning skin with a thirst for the future, to the rhythm of the charleston. Elsewhere attracts, travel is intensifying, the world is opening up. The mysterious founder of the brand knows this well when he chooses the name Cherigan.
An international sound, an identity that is nevertheless so French: “chéri” is the nickname given to each other by lovers strolling along the banks of the Seine with a light step. Very quickly, the brand experienced immense popularity, particularly among film stars, at the dawn of Broadway success.
